amazing news

I did it- This evening at 7pm I was unanimously voted onto the Board of Directors for HIV and AIDS Services. I have my first orders of business...I am setting up a few dates for educational presentations to at-risk youth, I am on the committee to plan the Auction Against AIDS in April, and I am on the panel of judges for the halloween costume party at Rumors on the 29th. That's a fun one too! I am excited.
If anyone would like to volunteer for AIDS Awareness outreach, let me know.
I am the youngest member ever by at least 15 years. wow!
I am so happy.
My night was perfect because then I taught ballet.
It was all wonderful and perfect. I'm glad I get to go to bed this way.

yes, I am coming into town this weekend. On Friday. And I think I am free during the day on Friday and at night too, after dinner with my family.

you know what I just realized? if you remember talking to me and you remember me telling you I'm coming to town this weekend, then you remember you were supposed to call me back and never did right? :( I was kinda hoping you would call all week.

that's such an amazing accomplishment. i hope to do something similar someday. working has got me swamped lately, but if i ever have the time to volunteer i just may be your girl.

I would love to have you anytime you want. There is an HIV 101 class on January 24- I think it may be a tuesday but I am not near my planner so I don't know. Where are you working?

the health hutt in grand haven. aids and std awareness and safe sex and drug use are some of my top priorities in getting people to understand. its such a rare topic for people to know much about. i still find people regularly who do not understand that sex without protection can kill you. its sad

Congrats emily!! You are such a good person for the job.
Did you know I did HIV/AIDS awareness peer education presentations in 8th grade? hmph. I have a BUNCH of old, outdated materials you could totally have (bc they're probably worthless by now...). Let me know if you need help with anything, I would love to get involved again if I could at all.

You're sweet. I miss you so much. Hey if you happen to get involved in Ann Arbor, I would love to collaborate. I think I may be in charge of much of the travel time as well. damn this is sweet.

Em I'm coming home this weekend. I'll be home until the 18th for Fall break. I want to come up to GR Friday night, but I don't know if that'll work bc Friday morning I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled and so I'm might be kind of out of it and anti-social. But I would love to see you at sometime. I'll try to give you a call. My cell phone minutes are very limited, so it might have to wait until Saturday. (I have no free nights, just free weekends) Keep doing awesome! <3 Much love.
